St. Patrick Elementary School
Gearing up for Winter @ St. Pat's
As December approaches, out come the winter coats, scarves and hats! The days have gotten shorter and recess is getting a little colder each day as we approach winter. Ms. Misty and Ms. Chelsea are getting excited for the winter season as Outdoor Education activities in the snow are awesomely fun! Recess, lunch and after-school daycare are outside each and every day using the snow hill that we create in the middle of the school yard. Make sure to purchase extra St. Pat’s sweatshirts, tuques and scarves so you stay warm when we brave the cold every day.
We look ahead to our annual Holiday Concert on December 14th, as Ms. Jen, Ms. Ashley and their crew are working very hard preparing our K through Grade 2 students for this tremendous show of talent. Don’t forget that we will be accepting any and all donations to support our Christmas Baskets fundraiser the night of the show. As well, our first Awards Ceremony celebrating student achievement will take place in early December as each cycle honours academic and virtuous achievement. We are planning so many fun activities and events for our final week of school before we break for the holidays…stay tuned!
Our amazing Home & School Association are busy organizing so many events for our entire school community. The Scholastic Book Fair and Bake Sale was a HUGE success during our term 1 P/T Interviews. The annual Santa Store and Christmas Lunch are scheduled for the last week of December – this is a day NOT to be missed! The staff can’t wait for ‘Teacher Appreciation Week’ coming to our school the week of February 12th-16th. And just around the corner will be our Open House and our “Class of 2018” will be heading off to Jouvence to enjoy their grad trip in the snow!
On behalf of the entire St. Patrick team, we wish all of our students and their families only health and happiness as we head into the coming holiday season!
Here’s to Winter @ The Pat!
