St. Patrick Elementary School
Spring is in the Air @ St. Pat’s!
The snow kept falling during our recent March break - with light dustings of snow throughout the week - hopefully we can now start looking for slight signs of spring: a little more pavement in the school yard, hints of green colours to replace the snowy white glare and ‘pear-balls’ finally return to recess and lunchtime at St. Pat’s! In a very short time we will welcome all parents and students to walk the halls and check out the classrooms during our March 28th
“Celebration of Learning” from 5-7pm. Come and see many of the projects and learning activities that have occurred during this school year – be sure to walk into all of the classes during this school community event.
Our cycle 3 students are off to BHS in the month of March to enjoy a high school grade 11 theatrical production of “Lucky Hudson & the 12th Street Gang”. Our cycle 1 students will participate this term in a Storytelling Workshop. And be sure to mark your calendars as Ms. Jen, Ms. Ashley and their staff crew keep rehearsing and preparing with our students who will be performing in ‘Seussical Jr.’ on the St. Pat’s stage on Thursday, April 19th in the morning and evening. Information on ticket sales will be available prior to the show – please contact the school office for more information.
The grade 5’s are gearing up for their annual trip in June which will take them into the Gatineau Region and Ottawa Valley. The Phys. Ed. team is planning to attend several LBPSB athletic tournaments in the months ahead such as the Jr. Cross Country Run, Indoor Soccer @ PCHS and Track & Field to name but a few! St. Paddy’s Day is an annual event that is well-celebrated at our school – don’t forget to wear your GREEN on Friday, March 16th. The staff, volunteers and students always work hard to create an atmosphere of terrific spirit during all of our school-wide events – Term 3 will be sizzling!
Keep checking out the Principal’s Blog, our school’s Facebook page and the Photo Gallery for more amazing moments that are happening throughout the hallways, classrooms and activities at St. Patrick Elementary School. St. Pat's "Autour du Monde" is a school community initiative that documents our very own St. Pat's apparel as it travels the world with our students and staff! Check out our photos from the "Autour du Monde" project on our school’s Facebook page - awesome fun!
The months ahead are full of learning and activities for every student in every grade!
