Super Hero Day in Grade 2

This month in Miss Lyne and Mme Agulnik's classes, the students suggested we study Super Heroes. As part of our activities, we decided to have a Super Hero Costume Day.

The children picked their activity centers and worked on writing Super Hero plays and acting them out. They created their own shields, they played Super Hero Bingo and they drew themselves as Super Heroes.

The children were particularly interested in the Super Hero mottos and tried to carry out Wonder Woman's motto of "Peace, Unity and Equality for all".

Choir Festival @ LPHS

Ms. Jen and Ms. Ashley and the St. Pat’s choir participated in the Choir Festival which took place today at Lindsay Place High School. It was touch and go – the entire event was almost postponed, at the 11th hour we had our bus cancelled – but the AMAZING parents and our GB and staff pulled together to somehow make sure that the students carpooled and drove their way to Pointe-Claire! And what an event it was!!! A terrific time and music galore – great job to our very special musical choir!

Kindergarten Science

The students planted seeds then got to cut their little blades of grass! Students used rulers to record the height of their grass in their math journals. They're excited to see how much they'll grow again!

Hug a Lunch Supervisor Day!

Well, we aren’t really sure if this is an actual holiday today but it sure seemed like a great idea! Some of the students were in the caf, many were outside enjoying their lunch recess. While the weather isn’t quite like summer just yet, the smiles are wide as Four Corners, Tag, Pear Ball, the Jungle Gym, etc. were enjoyed by all! Thanks for taking care of us, Ms. Mary and her staff ROCK!

Virtues Assembly – Grade 3’s Lead the Way with Tolerance and Acceptance

Our second Virtues Assembly focused on the theme of Tolerance. The Grade 3 students performed a skit and created a video to help define how we can be tolerant of our differences and how acceptance of others can lead to better friendships. Thanks to the students and staff for bringing together another student-led assembly.

L’univers vivant – les plantes et les animaux

Mme Murphy’s class is exploring the life of plants and animals while Mrs. C’s class is looking at animals and life in the ocean. And today 403 had two animal visitors – Puffs and Climes – awesome and lovable rodents who were the first furry friends to visit in the spirit of their English and French units of study!
