A Letter from Robert Munsch!

Mrs. Ceravolo’s class received a letter from Robert Munsch today! Hand delivered to their classroom by our very own Vice Principal, Mrs. Knott. The students were very excited to read his letter which even included a story that Mr. Munsch wrote about them!

Word Families in ELA

Our class 101 learned about an family words. We read a story with ‘an’ words, we made a list of ‘an’ words, then we used the list to write a poem with ‘an’ words. The next day we each received 2 copies of the poem but one copy was missing words! Oh no! The computer was not a fan of ‘an’! The students filled in the missing words and practiced reading the poem to friends and our whole class! It was great fun!

After Recess Club in Resource

Check out our first life skills activity in the “after recess club”. We baked apple crisp, read and followed recipes while learning about ingredients and measurements. Everyone enjoyed eating the end results and we even made a bowl for the principal.

A School Community that Comes Together No Matter What the Cause!

St. Pat’s is one amazing school – the students, staff and parents give 100% of themselves to help out no matter what the cause may be. We needed to install a bench for our school yard – and thanks to Mr. Peter Mace, Mr. Michael Rae and their crew of volunteers – they helped get the thing installed last weekend. With parental leadership like that, we are in great hands building upon our strong school community. Thanks for all your help!
